Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration) from an HEC-recognized university or a reputable foreign university.
- Preference will be given to candidates who hold professional qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), ICMA (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants), or any other equivalent degree in finance.
- In the case of foreign qualifications, an equivalence certificate from the HEC of Pakistan will be required at the time of the interview.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Audit or Finance within a reputable organization.
- Preference will be given to candidates who have experience as a Financial Controller in a financial institution.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Head Financial Control Division will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with changes in applicable laws, regulations, and standards, and assess their impact on the bank’s financial statements and financial control function.
- Ensure that the bank’s statutory financial reporting and regulatory reporting are accurate, timely, and complete.
- Financial Oversight:
- Monitor, pre-audit, check, and approve various expenses in accordance with the bank’s approval matrix, laws, policies, and budgetary limits.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports.
- Strategic Planning:
- Provide active assistance to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in devising finance function strategies and annual plans for effective functioning.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives within the Finance function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee all tasks necessary for the effective and efficient functioning of the financial control function.
- Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the CFO.
Location
The position is based at the Head Office in Peshawar.
