Job Description:
The Head Strategy will be instrumental in guiding the strategic direction and growth of the conglomerate. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the Strategy & Mergers & Acquisitions division to deliver optimal shareholder value. This encompasses developing and executing strategies that enhance profitability, market position, and overall shareholder returns through organic growth, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Develop long-term strategic investment frameworks. This involves identifying and evaluating potential investment opportunities, developing robust financial models, and creating frameworks to guide the allocation of capital for sustainable growth.
- Steer capital flows and streamline the portfolio. This requires a deep understanding of the conglomerate’s various business units, optimizing capital allocation across different segments, and identifying opportunities to streamline the portfolio through divestments or strategic realignments.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be considered for this leadership role, candidates must possess a distinguished profile encompassing significant experience and a strong educational foundation:
- 20+ years’ experience in the field of finance and management, with experience in the finance/management function in a sizeable organization, preferably in manufacturing or similar environments. A minimum of two decades of progressive experience in both finance and management roles within a substantial organization is essential. Prior experience in the manufacturing sector or similar capital-intensive industries will be highly advantageous, providing a nuanced understanding of operational complexities and strategic considerations within such environments.
- Graduate degree in business, finance, or economics from a reputed HEC-recognized institution or a charter/certification from a reputable body of accountants or finance professionals such as ACA, CFA, ACMA, or equivalent. A strong academic background is paramount. A graduate degree (Master’s or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics from a well-reputed institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is a prerequisite. This includes experience in areas such as financial planning and analysis, performance management, and capital structure optimization.
- Established experience dealing with regulators, Government of Pakistan officials, financial and legal professionals.
