Detailed Position Requirements:
1. Chief Financial Officer (Number of Posts: 1)
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a key member of the senior management team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of TESCO. This strategic role requires a seasoned finance professional with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial management principles, and experience within the power sector or similar regulated industries.
Qualification/Experience/Eligibility Criteria:
- A relevant qualification at the Masters level in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (with a specialization in Finance), or a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CA, CIMA, etc.) from a recognized institution.
- A sound relevant fiscal orientation and relevant experience of minimum 15 years in the financial management domain.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of financial statements, investment and treasury operations, etc.
- Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, risk management, investments, treasury operations, and financial reporting.
- High-level familiarity with regulatory requirements and financial compliance within the power sector will be an added plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

2. Company Secretary (Number of Posts: 1)
The Company Secretary will be responsible for ensuring TESCO’s compliance with corporate governance regulations, managing legal and secretarial matters, and facilitating effective communication between the company and its stakeholders. This role demands a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of corporate law and secretarial practices.
Qualification/Experience/Eligibility Criteria:
- A qualified member of a professional body of corporate secretaries or corporate chartered secretaries or a law graduate or a business graduate with a postgraduate degree in business administration or a person holding a master’s degree in business or public administration or a person holding a graduate or postgraduate degree in business or law recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience as Company Secretary in a reputable public or private sector organization.
- Energy sector experience will be given preference.
- Thorough knowledge of corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, corporate governance rules, and regulatory regime governing power sector entities.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Proven ability in handling secretarial functions, including managing board meetings and maintaining statutory records.
- Upper age limit: 57 years.
Other Conditions:
- Candidates must comply with the Fit and Proper Criteria as outlined in State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.
- The appointments shall be purely on merit.
- If the applicant possesses experience of working in the Public Sector or Public Sector Company, their experience in a position of BS-19 or equivalent to BS-19 whether on substantive basis or on additional charge or acting charge or current charge or look after basis or upgraded to BS-19 or above, shall qualify for Senior Management Experience for the post of Chief Financial Officer.
- For applicants with experience in the private sector, experience of C-Level or C-1 (reporting directly to the CEO or equivalent) for a minimum period of five (05) years shall be considered.
