Role and Responsibilities
As the CEO of WSSC Kohat, you will be responsible for:
- Strategic Leadership: Implementing the vision of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by effectively governing the water and sanitation utility.
- Service Delivery: Ensuring the delivery of quality services related to water, drainage, sewerage, solid waste management, and hygiene.
- Operational Management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, including financial management, human resources, and infrastructure development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensuring compliance with government rules and regulations and adhering to public sector corporate governance standards.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this challenging leadership role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A BS or Master’s degree (16 years of education) in Management, Public/Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Environmental Engineering/Sciences, or Membership in a recognized professional accounting body, or a BS degree in an Engineering discipline. Additional qualifications or higher degrees will be given preference.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a senior-level position in municipal services.
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate should have:
- Regulatory and Governance Knowledge: A strong understanding of government rules, regulations, and public sector corporate governance.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency in computer software usage.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (and preferably Pushto).
- Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills.
Age Limit and Compensation
- Age Limit: Maximum 55 years as of the closing date.
- Pay Package: A competitive, market-based salary as per company policy, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The appointment will be on a performance-based contract of 3 years, following SECP guidelines.
