Your Core Responsibilities – Architecting and Maintaining a Robust IT Infrastructure:
As Assistant Manager-IT, your role will be multifaceted and demanding, requiring a blend of technical prowess, problem-solving acumen, and a proactive approach to IT management. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Network Management Expertise: You will be at the forefront of overseeing and optimizing our network infrastructure. This encompasses maintaining network performance, ensuring network security, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and planning for future network expansions to support Tariq Glass’s growing operations. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring seamless communication and data flow across all our facilities.
- VMware Administration Mastery: Virtualization is key to our IT efficiency, and you will take charge of VMware administration. This involves managing virtual machines, ensuring optimal resource allocation, performing system updates and upgrades, and troubleshooting virtualization-related issues. Your proficiency in VMware will be essential for maintaining a robust and scalable virtualized environment, supporting critical applications and services.
- Fortifying Firewall Security: In today’s digital landscape, security is paramount. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our firewall security infrastructure. This includes configuring and monitoring firewalls, implementing security policies, responding to security threats, and staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends and best practices. - Active Directory Management Leadership: You will be entrusted with Active Directory management, overseeing user accounts, access permissions, and security policies within our domain environment. This involves managing user access effectively, enforcing security protocols, and ensuring the smooth operation of our directory services, essential for maintaining a secure and organized IT environment.
- Providing Comprehensive IT Infrastructure Support: You will be the go-to expert for providing comprehensive support for our entire IT infrastructure. This includes documenting network configurations, system procedures, and security protocols. Your Qualifications and Experience – The Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Educational Foundation in Computer Science: A Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BS (CS)) degree is essential. This provides a strong theoretical and practical foundation in computer science principles, network technologies, and IT systems administration, which are directly relevant to the responsibilities of the Assistant Manager-IT role.
- Extensive IT Field Experience: A minimum of 7 years of proven and progressive experience in the IT field is mandatory. This extensive experience should demonstrate a hands-on understanding of network management, system administration, security protocols, and IT infrastructure support.
