Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to address climate change challenges in Pakistan.

Qualifications and Experience
To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess:
- Educational Qualification: A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Climate Change, Environment, Finance, Management Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Law/Policy, or other relevant degrees.
- Experience: At least fifteen (15) years of experience in fields related to climate change and the environment, with a distinguished service record.
- Professional Background: The Chairperson shall be a scientist, academician, professional, serving or retired government servant, industrialist, agriculturist, or other technocrat.1
- Age Limit: 62 years.

- Leadership and Vision: Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of climate change science, policy, and management.
- Communication and Advocacy: Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Policy Analysis and Development: Ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop effective solutions.
- International Relations: Understanding of international climate change negotiations and diplomacy.
- Financial Management: Knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
Terms and Conditions
- Disqualification: Candidates who have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired from service due to disciplinary proceedings, convicted of an offence involving moral turpitude or corruption, or are beneficiaries of the National Reconciliation Ordinance, 2007, are ineligible.
- Civil Servants/Government Servants: Eligible candidates can apply through proper channels, and their applications will be dealt with according to the Special Professional Pay Scale Policy.
- Conflict of Interest: Selected candidates must submit an affidavit declaring their non-involvement in any other relevant business/job that may lead to a conflict of interest.

قابلیت اور تجربہ
اس عہدے کے لیے اہل ہونے کے لیے، امیدواروں کے پاس درج ذیل ہونا ضروری ہے:
- تعلیمی قابلیت: موسمیاتی تبدیلی، ماحولیات، مالیات، انتظامی علوم، ماحولیاتی انجینئرنگ، ماحولیاتی قانون/پالیسی، یا دیگر متعلقہ ڈگریوں میں پی ایچ ڈی یا ماسٹرز ڈگری۔
- تجربہ: موسمیاتی تبدیلی اور ماحولیات سے متعلق شعبوں میں کم از کم پندرہ (15) سال کا تجربہ، ایک ممتاز سروس ریکارڈ کے ساتھ۔
- پیشہ ورانہ پس منظر: چیئرپرسن ایک سائنسدان، ماہر تعلیم، پیشہ ور، حاضر سروس یا ریٹائرڈ سرکاری ملازم، صنعت کار، زرعی ماہر، یا دیگر ٹیکنوکریٹ ہونا چاہیے۔
- عمر کی حد: 62 سال۔
