1. Information Technology Technician (Male/Female)
- Position Summary: The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the museum’s computer systems, networks, and software applications. This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
- Provide technical support to museum staff and visitors.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the security and integrity of museum data.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and technologies.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma from a reputed institution in Information Technology.
- 2-3 years of experience in computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and software troubleshooting.
- Age less than 30 years.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
2. Guide (Male/Female)
- Position Summary: The Guide will be responsible for providing informative and engaging tours to museum visitors, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of the exhibits and artifacts. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for history, and the ability to interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct guided tours for visitors, providing detailed explanations of exhibits and answering questions.
- Share historical information and stories related to the maritime artifacts and displays.
- Ensure visitor safety and maintain order within the museum premises.
- Assist in the development of tour scripts and educational materials.
- Provide exceptional customer service to visitors.
- Stay informed about the museum’s collections and exhibits.
- Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, General History, Anthropology, Archaeology, Marine Sciences, or a related discipline from an HEC recognized university.
- Age less than 30 years.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with visitors.
- Knowledge of Pakistani history and maritime heritage will be preferred.
