Introduction
The Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise under the administrative control of the Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan. PMDC is responsible for the exploration, mining, and marketing of various minerals across the country. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Deputy General Manager (Procurement) to lead our procurement department and ensure effective sourcing strategies that align with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Deputy General Manager (Procurement) will be responsible for:
- Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the organization’s objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions. Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the procurement landscape. Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and ethical standards. Conduct regular audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills.

اہلیت
- تعلیم: بزنس ایڈمنسٹریشن، سپلائی چین مینجمنٹ یا متعلقہ شعبے میں ماسٹر ڈگری۔
- تجربہ: پروکیورمنٹ یا سپلائی چین مینجمنٹ میں کم از کم 10 سال کا تجربہ، جن میں سے کم از کم 5 سال انتظامی کردار میں ہوں۔
- مہارتیں:
- مضبوط مذاکراتی مہارتیں اور سپلائرز کے ساتھ تعلقات بنانے کی صلاحیت۔
- عمدہ تجزیاتی مہارتیں جن میں تفصیل پر توجہ ہو۔
