Introduction
The National Textile University (NTU), Faisalabad, is a federally chartered public sector university that has been at the forefront of textile education and research for over six decades. Key Responsibilities
As the Rector of NTU, you will be responsible for:
- Leadership and Governance: Provide visionary leadership to the university, fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence and innovation.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position of Rector, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Academic Credentials: A Ph.D. from an HEC-recognized institution in Engineering or a related field is required. Candidates must have a distinguished academic record with significant contributions to research.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in academic administration at a senior level, preferably in higher education institutions.

Term of Appointment
The Rector will be appointed for a term of four years with a salary package equivalent to that of a Professor under the Tenure Track System. All other privileges and allowances applicable to Rectors/Vice Chancellors of public sector universities in Pakistan will also apply.

اہم ذمہ داریاں
NTU کے ریکٹر کی حیثیت سے آپ کی ذمہ داریاں شامل ہوں گی:

- تعلیمی نگرانی: تعلیمی پروگراموں کی نگرانی کرنا اور یہ یقینی بنانا کہ وہ قومی اور بین الاقوامی معیارات پر پورا اترتے ہیں۔ تحقیق کی پہل کو فروغ دینا اور فیکلٹی کی ترقی کی حوصلہ افزائی کرنا۔
- انتظامی انتظام: یونیورسٹی کے انتظامی امور کا انتظام کرنا، یہ یقینی بنانا کہ بورڈ آف گورنرز کے وضع کردہ ضوابط اور پالیسیوں کی تعمیل ہو۔
- اسٹیک ہولڈر کی شمولیت: حکومت، صنعت کے شراکت داروں، اور سابق طلباء کے ساتھ مضبوط تعلقات قائم کرنا تاکہ تعاون کو بڑھایا جا سکے اور یونیورسٹی کی پہل کی حمایت حاصل ہو۔
- مالی انتظام: ادارے کی مالی صحت کا جائزہ لینا، مؤثر وسائل کی تقسیم اور فنڈنگ کی کوششوں کو یقینی بنانا۔
اہلیت
ریکٹر کی حیثیت سے درخواست دینے کے لیے امیدواروں کو درج ذیل اہلیتوں پر پورا اترنا ہوگا:
- تعلیمی قابلیت: انجینئرنگ یا متعلقہ شعبے میں ایچ ای سی تسلیم شدہ ادارے سے پی ایچ ڈی ضروری ہے۔ امیدواروں کا تحقیقی میدان میں نمایاں کردار ہونا چاہیے۔
- قیادت کا تجربہ: اعلیٰ سطح پر تعلیمی انتظامیہ میں ثابت شدہ تجربہ، ترجیحاً اعلیٰ تعلیمی اداروں میں۔
- صنعت کا علم: ٹیکسٹائل صنعت اور اس کے قومی و بین الاقوامی چیلنجز کی مضبوط تفہیم۔
- بصیرت انگیز سوچ: یونیورسٹی کے مستقبل کے لیے واضح وژن تیار کرنے کی صلاحیت جبکہ عالمی تعلیمی رجحانات کے مطابق اس کے مشن کو آگے بڑھانا۔
عمر کی حد
امیدواروں کی عمر 25 ستمبر 2024 کو 65 سال سے زیادہ نہیں ہونی چاہیے۔
تقرری کی مدت
ریکٹر کو چار سال کی مدت کے لیے مقرر کیا جائے گا جس میں تنخواہ کا پیکیج پروفیسر کے طور پر ٹینور ٹریک سسٹم کے تحت ہوگا۔ پاکستان میں عوامی شعبے کی یونیورسٹیوں کے ریکٹرز / وائس چانسلرز کو دی جانے والی تمام دیگر مراعات اور الاؤنس بھی لاگو ہوں گے۔
درخواست کا عمل
دلچسپی رکھنے والے امیدواروں کو اپنی درخواستیں ایچ ای سی ویب سائٹ www.hec.gov.pk پر موجود مقرر کردہ پروفارما استعمال کرتے ہوئے جمع کرانی ہوں گی۔ درخواستیں 25 ستمبر 2024 تک جمع کرانی ضروری ہیں۔
عمومی ہدایات
- حکومت یا نیم حکومت خدمات میں موجود امیدواروں کو مناسب چینلز کے ذریعے درخواست دینی ہوگی۔
- صرف شارٹ لسٹ کیے گئے امیدواروں کو انٹرویو کے لیے بلایا جائے گا۔ انٹرویو میں شرکت کرنے والے کسی بھی امیدوار کو کوئی ٹی اے / ڈی اے نہیں دیا جائے گا۔
