The Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA), Peshawar, functioning under the Department of Health, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has officially announced admissions for the 2-Year Lady Health Visitors (LHV) Diploma Course (Session 2026–2028). Applications are invited from eligible female candidates belonging to specified districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Merged Districts (FATA), Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).

Training will be imparted across four sub-ordinate Public Health Schools (PHS) in KPK: Public Health School Nishtarabad (Peshawar), Public Health School Hayatabad (Peshawar), Public Health School Abbottabad, and Public Health School Dera Ismail Khan.

Educational Qualification & Eligibility Criteria

  1. Matriculation (Science Stream): Minimum 45% marks in Matric Science or equivalent examination with core subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  2. F.Sc. (Pre-Medical): Minimum 45% marks in F.Sc. Pre-Medical.
  3. Domicile Requirement: Candidate’s domicile must strictly belong to the specified districts/regions mapped to the respective Public Health School.
  4. Age Limit: Candidates must be between 14 and 35 years of age.
  5. Reserved Seats for AJK & GB: Special self-finance seats are designated for candidates from Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Candidates from these regions must submit application forms issued specifically for their region.
  6. Open/Self-Finance Seat Rules: Candidates are eligible to apply separately for both Open Merit and Self-Finance seats. However, a seat once allocated under Self-Finance will not be shifted to Regular/Open Merit under any circumstances.

Weightage Formula & Merit Calculation

Merit positions will be determined strictly according to the following official weightage formula:

  • Category A — Candidates with Matric Science (45%+ Marks):
    • Matric Science Marks Weightage: 70%
    • F.Sc. Pre-Medical Marks (Minimum 45% Marks): 30% Weightage
  • Hafiz-e-Quran Marks: Female candidates who are certified Hafiz-e-Quran (from Wafaq-ul-Madaris or recognized body) will receive 20 additional marks added to their Matriculation score. A mandatory Quran recitation test will be conducted during the interview; failure to pass the test will result in forfeiture of additional marks.
  • Disabled Candidates Seat: 1 seat is reserved for disabled candidates in each Public Health School. If no eligible disabled applicant is available, the seat will revert to the Open Merit quota.
  • Minority Seats: 1 seat is reserved for minority candidates at Public Health School Nishtarabad, Hayatabad, and D.I. Khan.
  • PHSA Network Employees’ Children Quota: 2 seats are reserved at Public Health School Nishtarabad Peshawar for daughters of PHSA Network staff.
